Am 13. und 14. September 2024 hatten wir als Kunststoff Schwanden AG die Gelegenheit, uns uns unsere Lehrberufe auf der Berufsmesse LEBeN in Niederurnen (GL) zu präsentieren.

Dank der Mercedes Garage "Milt" in Glarus stand uns ein Mercedes GLC zur Verfügung, den wir beschriften konnten, um zu zeigen, welche von unseren Teilen wo in einem Mercedes mitfahren.

Verschiedene Spritzgussprodukte wurden ausgestellt und den Jugendlichen gezeigt. Um den Spritzgussvorgang zu verdeutlichen wurden über 400 Waffeln gebacken.

Ein Gewinnspiel lockte, neben dem feinen Duft, ebenfalls Besucher an unseren Stand. Auch Interessierte für Schnuppertage oder für den Zukunftstag wurden notiert und nun kontaktiert.

Inbetriebnahme der grössten privaten Photovoltaikanlage im Kanton Glarus

Wir freuen uns, Ihnen mitteilen zu können, dass am 21.06.2023 unsere neu installierte Photovoltaikanlage mit einer beeindruckenden installierten Leistung von 845 kWp und einer erwarteten jährlich generierten Energie von 0.8 GWh in Betrieb genommen wurde. Diese PV-Anlage ist nach der alpinen Muttsee Solaranlage die größte im gesamten Kanton Glarus und stellt einen wichtigen Schritt in Richtung nachhaltige Energieversorgung dar.

Wir möchten diese Gelegenheit nutzen, um unserem Vermieter, der Kiener Properties AG, sowie die beteiligten Firmen convoltas AG, Burkhardt Gebäudehülle AG, Technische Betriebe Glarus Süd und tbf-marti AG, für ihre Unterstützung und Zusammenarbeit bei der Umsetzung dieses Projekts zu danken. Ohne ihre Fachkenntnis, ihr Engagement und ihren Einsatz wäre die Realisierung einer solch beeindruckenden Anlage nicht möglich gewesen.

Announcement Kunststoff Schwanden AG China

Kunststoff Schwanden AG strengthens its business in China with the acquisition of all shares from the joint venture with the Jingmei Weiye Group.

In March the Jingmei Weiye Group sold its 30 percent share in the joint venture to Kunststoff Schwanden AG. As a result, the company was renamed KeSuTuoFeng Molding (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.

By taking over all shares, Kunststoff Schwanden AG has created a good position for further expansion in the Chinese region. The customers' demand for global supply by one contact partner can now be met even better.

A little bit of Kunststoff Schwanden is integrated in the new

Mercedes EQS and EQS/AMG

The secret about the small flap on the new Mercedes EQS is out!

The small, lacquered plastic flap, whose functionality was unclear until now and therefore caused a lot of discussion, is used for filling the windscreen wiper system.

Kunststoff Schwanden AG, with its great know-how in the field of tank filler/plug-in recess systems, is proud to have been able to contribute a small part to the new Mercedes EQS as a co-developer in this project. Currently, Kunststoff Schwanden AG is already producing this wash water flaps and troughs in series in its production plant. But that's not all! The employees of Kunststoff Schwanden AG also produce the plug-in recess system with flap, two cooling water expansion tanks and ventilation flaps for the various model series of the Mercedes EQS, as well as three cable ducts and two holders for electronic components incl. sliding piece for the battery.

The new Kunststoff Schwanden film "LEHRBERUFE" was produced by our apprentices, i.e. written, filmed, edited etc. An achievement that is worth seeing!

for more than four decades, Kunststoff Schwanden has been manufacturing lint rollers for Migros.

Apprenticeships 2019 successfully completed – congratulations!

Kunststoff Schwanden is looking forward to further cooperation and wishes all apprentices on their future careers all the best!

We are pleased to announce that the planned joint venture in China has been successfully completed. During a solemn ceremony, the representatives of Kunststoff Schwanden Group and Jingmei Weiye Group signed the final contracts.

The new company in Tianjin

The city of Tianjin is an important port city, industrial center, transportation hub and cultural hub in the Beijing area with universities, colleges, museums and monuments.

The factory is approx.1.5 hours drive from airport Beijing and 30 minutes drive from Tianjin local airport.

In addition to administration, injection molding and assembly, our own tool shop is also available in the approx. 8'000 m2 large factory.

The well-managed company with around 95 employees enables us to supply the Chinese market locally already this year.
